Why it works:

The reason this simple DIY Remedy for Dogs and Cats Ear mites works is as follows.

Vinegar: Vinegar will help change the PH of your pets ear making it difficult for the mites to thrive. Be mindful if your pet has open sores in their ears before applying. You will be placing vinegar on an open wound which any animal would not enjoy including humans. If they have open sores, simply skip the vinegar until the wounds heal.

Honey: Honey is one of the most mellow antiseptics on the planet providing anti bacterial, anti fungal, and antiviral properties in a mild and soothing medium. This will help heal any damaged skin or open wounds as well as generally sooth the animals ear.

Olive Oil: As mites are simply very little itty bitty critters they can be "Smothered" and the thick viscosity of olive oil is just the right tool for the job. Olive oil also has many soothing and healing properties for irritated skin.
